Heres a look at what a busy summer we had...

Fear of Self has been in the studio finishing up their rocking 6 song E.P. Stay on the look out for that! Shaolin Death Squad is undergoing the final stages of mixing and mastering for their new CD entitled "Epic." An album you definately won't want to miss.

Chris and the Roughnecks were in the studio over the summer and finished their debut CD. The alternative, rock, pop punk band Flying First Class finished their full length CD as well. Last but certainly not least, jazz, soul and R&B's Fingerprints wrapped up their new CD called "Dreamlife." Call or email Reeltime Audio for a tour or more information about our fall rate specials!

It's been busy here at the studio over the dying months of summer. Adakain have been working on their next release over the past few months. A lot of work has gone into this project that will undoubtedly shine through on the final product. Matt Thompson has been in the studio laying down the drums tracks for the next Shaolin Death Squad album. Check out their Myspace page to hear the new song "Scorpion", which had the drums tracked and the song mixed here at Reeltime a few months ago. The Feds were recently in the studio to shoot and record a live performance video. It was an exciting experience, so keep an eye out for that! Many other artists, such as John Sarcone, have been in the studio. Give us a call tomake yourself one of them!

06.20.08 Special Update!

There's some exciting news to announce which calls for a brief update. As mentioned in recent news, Brave Combo have been at Reeltime Audio over the past several months working on the musical score to the animated PBS series based on the popular radio show cartalk. The episodes are finally completed! The show will be called As The Wrench Turns and will air on PBS on Wednesday July 9th at 8 p.m. Be sure to tune in, and in the mean time visit the As The Wrench Turns website for more info and to see a trailer!

Summertime is rolling in and so are the bands to Reeltime. Several weeks ago Revolte were in the studio recording some new songs. Check those guys out and keep an ear open for their new tunes. In The Trench came to town and began "chugging" along recording their heavy hitting brand of metal. Their debut album will be out late this summer. Currently residing at Reeltime are the guys and gal from With These Words. This Garland based group is about halfway through the recording and production process, thus expect their new songs to be out shortly. Work on the PBS animated series Cartalk, based on the popular NPR radio show of the same name and scored by Denton's very own Brave Combo, is progressing nicely and is nearing completion. 2008 is upon us and with it comes several new projects and points of interest. Just before the Christmas holiday Denton's very own Darcy took root here at the studio and began work on their new full-length. Everything is coming along and sounding great! So be sure and keep a watch for that. Reeltime alumni and Texas Music Chart toppers No Justice made the trek down from their native land of Oklahoma to work on a few new tunes. Work on the PBS animated Cartalk series is progressing nicely as Brave Combo continues to add their inventive and wacky sounds to the score. In other exciting news Reeltime Audio is nearing the completion of a total redesign and remodel of the main control room. The new improved aesthetics and acoustics were design by Bob Suffolk at Suffolk Studio Design. Photos and more info will be posted as soon as the final touches are completed! 2008 is already shaping up to be a productive year here at Reeltime Audio! A plethora of projects being worked on at Reeltime! The ever busy Brave Combo have been in the studio working on some interesting projects. The band has been called upon to score the music for the upcoming animated series based on the legendary radio show Car Talk. Brave Combo will be in and out of the studio for the next several weeks recording for this series, which will air in 2008. More can be read about it Here. Speaking of Brave Combo and TV, a few months back the group recorded the music for a popular Japanese animated show here at the studio. The series is called Beck: Mongolian Chop Squad.

Dallas based Faktion are in the studio currently, so be sure to keep an eye out for their new material. The Inner-city All Stars recently completed their new album, "Gotta Move On", here at Reeltime Audio. The effort was recorded, mixed and mastered here at the Reeltime Studios. Yes, you read that correct. Reeltime Audio now offers mastering services! An special introductory rate of $50 per song or $400 for an entire album is presently being offered. Exciting news to announce! No Justice has climbed to the #1 spot for 4 weeks on the Texas Music Chart with their song Never Come Back. The song is from their self-titled album which was recorded at Reeltime and produced by Eric Delegard and JJ Lester. So congratulations to those guys! Things have been busy here at Reeltime. Arizona's Angie Raess Band has been in town for several weeks working on their new full length. Echo After of Detroit, Michagan visited us once again to finalize their new album. Look for those releases soon. Adakain, from right here in the DFW area, entered the studio and have started recording their new release. Adakain features members of another area and reeltime alumni band, Element Eighty.

With Summer quickly approaching, several bands and artists have been in the studio to work on new material. Seven Story Drop recently finished tracking a new project and have entered the final mixing stages. Dallas' own After Summer have also been in the studio working on a few new songs that will be wrapped up shortly. The month of May saw Intrust finding their way to Reeltime to record their brand of progressive metal. And what would a Reeltime Audio update be without the mention of Brave Combo? The veteran Denton-based band have been working on a new album which was partially completed and mixed at Reeltime by Eric Delegard. Several other exciting projects are planned for the Summer. Midwest Invasion hits Reeltime Audio!

Spring time is nearly upon us! It seems the warmer and often sultry conditions we know so well here in Texas have lured several bands from their chilly home states down to Reeltime Audio. Skywynd, from Minneapolis MN, is having their new album mixed at Reeltime. Initially recorded in their home state, the effort was produced by Kevin Martin of Candlebox fame. Echo After of Grand Rapids Michigan made the trek down for two weeks to record their new album. Also in the near future Fargo, North Dakota natives Noise Union will head south and start recording their new project here at Reeltime Audio. Oklahoma City's Rikets will return to finish up on their upcoming full-length, on which they began production here last month.

Welcome to the brand new Reeltime Audio website! Expect things to continue to grow and change here in the near future. Along with the new site there are many other changes taking place. We are in the final stages of redesigning our main tracking room, complete with newly installed bamboo flooring. These changes provide not only an improvement in visual aesthetics, but also in acoustics! Watch out for new studio photos of all the changes soon.

Also in the works is a complete upgrade to our mastering facilities, as Reeltime Audio will be expanding our mastering services in the very near future. More info to come shortly. And of course the studio has been busy with bands and musicians working on their next project. Junior, from Gladewater TX, recently finished their new CD that will be out April 7th on Toucan Cove/Universal Records. Carl Finch of Brave Combo just completed the soundtrack for a documentary about the Texas State Fair. Quebec native and current North Texas resident Dan Sugar has been in the studio recently. He's been working on a few songs featuring Matt Thompson from Shaolin Death Squad/King Diamond on drums. Oklahoma's Rikets are currently in the studio and have started production on their new album.
